What We Offer
DXF Cleanup & Adjustment
Fix open contours, duplicate geometry, unnecessary construction geometry, non-compliant line types, and other issues that prevent clean fabrication output.
PDF-to-DXF Conversion
Convert dimensioned PDF drawings or sketches into clean DXF geometry for fabrication.
Drawing / Sketch to CAD
Create clean CAD geometry from dimensioned sketches, drawings, reference images, screenshots, or customer-supplied information when sufficient dimensions are available.
Basic Geometry Adjustments
Resize, scale, modify, or revise simple geometry based on customer requirements.
STEP/STP Model Review & Geometry Preparation
Review customer-supplied STEP/STP models for sheet-metal, bent, formed, flat-pack, and multi-component fabrication projects. Manufacturing geometry is prepared as required for the selected fabrication process.
Cut-Ready File Preparation
Prepare clean closed contours and manufacturing-ready geometry for CNC laser, plasma, waterjet, or similar cutting workflows where appropriate.
Dimensioned Fabrication Drawings
Prepare practical dimensioned drawings for fabrication and reference where the supplied information is sufficient.

From File to Fabrication-Ready Geometry
SolidMetric can review customer-supplied DXF, DWG, STEP/STP, PDF, drawings, and reference files and prepare manufacturing-ready geometry as required for the fabrication process — including sheet-metal geometry preparation, flat-pattern preparation where appropriate, DXF preparation, and fabrication drawing preparation.
File preparation can be delivered as a standalone service — or combined with direct fabrication at SolidMetric, so you receive finished parts rather than just a cleaned file.
File preparation is a practical fabrication-support service. SolidMetric does not provide stamped engineering drawings, professional engineering certification, or regulated design approval.
